This car was sold by a local friend to a new owner that plans to run it in GridLife GLTC. The new owner asked if they had any recommendations for a local shop that could install a splitter and wing - so, I picked it up and got to work.
The wing mounts are in-house designed specifically for the RX8. They bolt directly to the trunk and have large backing plates underneath to prevent the trunk from flexing. The airfoil is a WingLogic MSHD element.
The splitter is designed to maximize the 3” allowance for GLTC rules. It is mounted to the car with our quick release splitter mounts. The mounts bolt directly to the RX8 (and NC) chassis using factory holes.
While here, we also installed a IO Port window next, fire suppression system, and an OS Giken differential.
